NEVER ENDING NIGHT: REVIEW

October 9, 2015

Never Ending Night is a newly released title, made by indie developers Dot Dream. At first glance it may look a bit bland, with all the darkness and limited colours, but I assure you this is a visual masterpiece.

“The aesthetics are amazingly pleasing. With the light contrasting the dark, the foreground and background blend perfectly. The game play is very intriguing. It’s a platformer, with elements of action/adventure, RPG, and a puzzle aspect that won’t leave you scratching your head, wondering what to do, (which I for one loved). There are also “boss” fights, which allow you use the mechanics of your character, (IE: picking up objects and hurling them at your foes and glowing with light to reflect enemy projectiles).

The Soundtrack for the game is well done, and fits the mood perfectly in the areas that the tracks play. The story pulls you in. It will have you asking ‘why’, ‘what’s next’, and ‘how did that happen,’ as you are lead teasingly thru the game. It is a truly immersive game, that I for one will continue playing and enjoying for quite awhile.” – Ahnpu

Check out GM Dad Chris, (aka Ahnpu),  as he plays through some of this title:
