A-Kon. We're coming for you.

May 16, 2016

For our fourth year in a row, we will be attending A-Kon! A-Kon, in it's 27th year, is the oldest continually running anime-based convention in North America. They don't just do anime either. A-Kon offers items and panels of interests ranging from gaming to independent films, which proves to be an amazing experience for the fans. (Don't even get me started on the food trucks.) Partnered up with the beautiful Hilton Anatole Hotel, this con experience is one you do not want to miss.

A-Kon 27 Guest Line-Up:

The guest line-ups this year are going to be epic! Voice actors such as Cherami Leigh (Peach Girl, Soul Eater, One Piece), Jeremy Inman, (Dragonball Z, Fairy Tail, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood), and FUNimation veteran Megan Emerick, (Ouran HS Host Club, Eureka Seven: AO, Fairy Tail), will be there!

There will also be professional cosplay stars, bands, and authors who will be rocking the panels as well. (Any Yaya Han fans out there?)

A-Kon 27 Fun:

Be sure to bring a fat wallet, because the shopping never disappoints! Check out the Artist Alley to support your favorite artists, pig out on some awesome food trucks, or buy some awesome merch at one of the countless venues.

Have a competitive side? They got you covered. Enter in the AMV, art, ani-idol, or cosplay contest. Gamers, you will want to check out the console or tabletop tournament.

A-Kon has so much going on, you'll have to visit their site to get the full list of all the fun!

I Want to Go:

There is still time to get tickets and/or book a hotel room at the Hilton Anatole. A-Kon and the Anatole Hotel is located near downtown Dallas, Texas. (Being a cosplayer myself, I love visiting cons that are right outside the comfort of your room!)

You can register to get one day, 3 day, or group tickets.

A-Kon started in 1990 with only 380 people... Now it's grown to an international following with over 21,900 attendees! A-Kon 27... We're coming for you.
