Gaming Mommies World of Warcraft group are excited to participate in the 2nd annual Running of the Trolls event! Last year, hundreds of players showed up as trolls and marched in the game to raise money to benefit the charity, Trevor Project. This year's event is on June 11 and will start at 9pm EST on the Feathermoon server - US Horde side. Look for GM WOW admins, GamGrimm and Gamwoomy.

What is the Running of the Trolls?
This event is run by @Dravvie, Magical Warlock Girl! (See her site HERE). It will benefit The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is a nonprofit group that is focused on suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and other youth. Running of the Trolls helps celebrate Pride Month, and encourages younger members of the WOW community who may need support for it, and the rest of the community to reach out.

What is this, why Trolls this time?? What will this do?
Trolls are so wonderful, diverse, and fun. They simply felt like the right choice to use for last year’s run. They had 390 Trolls in attendance, and raised $548 of their $1000 goal! They had a great party in Silvermoon at the end, and some people even snuck into Stormwind afterwards!
Okay, this sounds fun, but how do I sign up?
Easy! Simply log into Feathermoon-US or it’s connected Realm Scarlet Crusade US and create a level 1 Troll. Their crews will be there with official racing guilds and tabards. You can also /join TrollRun to chat with fellow Trolls. If you will be racing with Gaming Mommies, be sure to check in with GamGrimm or Gamwoomy, or contact them in the GM WoW group before the run!
Can I use heirloom mounts/armor/trinkets/toys:
In a word, please don’t, unless it’s just armor.
The idea is to commit to running with everyone else, so we ask that you refrain from summoning your chopper if you can. (I understand some people may get behind.) These vehicles do cause lag. You’re free to use transformation toys, but do keep in mind that there’s a lot of screenshots being taken, and if you’re Millhouse, you won’t be able to show off your Troll as well. :)
How can I donate?
You can visit the Trevor Project’s sit donation site: https://give.thetrevorproject.org/fundraise?fcid=671853
They have a $1,000 goal, but feel like if everyone helps just a little, and participates in the idea of small change, we can make it work!
What is this Small Change thing?
When they created the Gnome run they had the idea that people could do something big by doing something small (much like Gnomes!) By donating even a penny, quarter, nickle or dime per gnome that arrived, the members of SeeD found that they wound up donating a lot of money year after year.
We would love to continue the trend of doing something small that leads to something big for the WoW community. While you are not all required to donate, or pledge to the small change system like the rest of us, we welcome you to do so!
1 Penny=1 Troll. If 10 Trolls show up You donate $0.10
1 Nickel=1 Troll. If 10 Trolls Show up You donate $0.50
1 Dime=1 Troll. If 10 Trolls Show up You Donate $1.00
1 Quarter=1 Troll. If 10 Trolls. Show up You Donate $2.50
Where are you guys Running?
Maps will be reposted, however: we’re heading to Silvermoon from the Troll starting zone, Orgrimmar, Zeppelin, Tirisfal, and then through Ghostlands!
As the GM community, we would love for you to add "Gam" to the front of your troll name, so that we can find each other and represent Gaming Mommies! We hope you can join Gaming Mommies as our World of Warcraft group participates in this awesome cause. See you guys in game!
